Description
Got Cacti Trichocereous Pachanoi for sale buy San Pedro Cactus   Hoodia gordonii Plant Scientific Name: Hoodia gordonii Sweet Synonym: Family: Asclepiadaceae This auction is for 250 Hoodia Seedling 40 days old . Shipping will be dry rooted without soil.       There is much controversy regarding any Hoodia Gordonii plants grown outside of South Africa as having the same effect as those grown elsewhere. I don't know about anywhere else but here in San Diego County the Hoodia Gordonii grown is identical to the ones grown in South Africa as proven by Alkemists Pharmaceuticals 1260 Logan Ave # B3 Costa Mesa, CA 92626 one of, if not the leading Alkemists Lab in the United Stated. The cost for the tests was $750.00 and I will be haveing more tests done on plants at different stages of growth as time and money permits. Results from alchemists test on sample from my HOODIA GORDONII stock which shows that Hoodia Grown outside of South Africa contains the same appetite suppresant chemicals. 1. Hoodia 1 (HPLC) Conclusion: Chromatogram #2 (test sample) is consistent with chromatographic fingerprint #1 (voucher specimen of Hoodia gordonii). Reference analyte P57 can be detected in the test sample.                                                     2. Hoodia 1 (Micro) Comments & Conclusions: Yellow line = sample origin @ 10mm, red line = solvent front @ 60mm. Lanes 6, 7 are the test sample Hoodia (1). Lanes 4, 5 are the authenticated reference samples used for comparison. This test sample, Hoodia (1), is consistent with the chromatographic profile of the reference samples of Hoodia gordonii used above & is characteristic of Hoodia gordonii.                                                              3. Hoodia 1 (TLC) Comments & Conclusions: This sample is representative of Hoodia gordonii aerial part based on authenticated microscopic references and the consistent characteristic cellular structure of an aerial part as well as the references cited above. The characteristic cellular structures identified in this sample are the fragment of a fiber showing whirled striations seen in micrograph (1) above & in micrograph (2) we see the large thin walled parenchyma with wrinkled cell walls. This test sample, Hoodia (1), is consistent with the microscopic characteristics of the reference samples of Hoodia gordonii used above & is characteristic of Hoodia gordonii. Sampling the Kalahari cactus diet  as seen on BBC, New Wonder Diet Drug?, African Plant May Help Fight Fat as seen on 60 Min Hoodia is a small Asclepiad genus of 10 to 20 species, from southwestern Africa. They form clumps of erect multi angled stems. Extracts of Hoodia has been used recently to manufacture appetite suppressant medications. The close genus Trichocaulon is sometimes included in Hoodia. One of the hardiest of the asclepiads, most Hoodias will take a small amount of frost. The large brownish flowers are pollinated by flies, and use a very distinct carrion smell to attract them. They form in liberally at the tip of the stems. Recommended Temperature Zone: USDA: 10-11 Frost Tolerance: Hardy to 28°F ( -2°C) Sun Exposure: Light shade, morning sun Origin: Southwestern Africa Growth Habits: Succulent, forming clumps of 12 inches tall, 12 inches wide (30 by 30 cm) Propagation: Seed Thanks and God Bless!!!!
