Top is 38" deep 15" tall and each top hinge is 40" long with 18 1/2" stationary center part. The canopy is 43" deep  38 1/2" tall  8' 6" long. 2 big doors on the front and 1 door on left side. There will be a vent cover on right side you can see it in the picture. It has a small hole on each side that were vents. Inside it has steel supports that are very rusty. The aquarium was first used in a fish store for salt water. Not  sure how old it is. The aquarium is 1" thick and has some scratches on all sides from rocks and use. I have had it full of water and I can fill it to show its ok.  It has been setting for a few years and I just don't have the time to run it. It also comes with a center piece that is about 10" square that is the over flow to the bottom and has 2 pipes in the center of the bottom and stick out of bottom. One is inlet and other outlet for filtration. Inside canopy is a big plexy filter tank to filter the water that comes with it. The laminate is a gray with colored specks in it. On Nov-27-08 at 10:16:57 PST, seller added the following information: With the top opened the measurement from top to floor is 11'. So the ceiling  is best if at 11' or more but can be done lower just not all way way opened. Correction on bottom of tank has 2 outlets and 2 inlets and a center pipe to run wires to the lights on top.
