I love my waterbed, but I HATE waterbed sheets! I don't know who created them but I'm sure it had to be a single man who never had to share a bed with anyone! Just a few things that I HATE about regular waterbed sheets: After a few nights on the bed, the side of the mattress always starts to "peek" through, and I wake up at 2am to have to peel my arm and leg off of the exposed vinyl. Plus every other night, the whole corner "pops" off and you have to constantly "re-make" the bed. Since the top sheet is exactly the same size as the bed itself, when you get one person under it, it leaves no sheet for another person! It's always a constant battle for "control" of the sheet! So after years of waterbed sheet torment, I said "No more!" I bought some traditional innerspring mattress sheets and set out to create a better set of waterbed sheets! After many trials, I finally ended up with sheets that were PERFECT! I've made my own waterbed sheets now for about the past 4 years and I thought to myself "if I had so much trouble with regular waterbed sheets I bet others did to" so I got together with my sister (who is a much better seamstress than me) and here we are. So these sheets are standard sheets that we have modified into waterbed sheets. Key Features of My sheets Since it is a standard bottom sheet there is enough fabric that covers the top and ALL sides of the mattress, you NEVER get vinyl showing through! And since it is a standard top sheet, there is usually a couple feet of sheet extending from each side of the bed so there is PLENTY of sheet for both people. You'll NEVER have to fight for the sheets again! And we have added a fabric extension to each corner with a "pole" pocket. You slip a pole into the pocket before putting it under the mattress and it will NEVER pop off! You NEVER have to remake the bed until the next sheet changing! We have also stitched the top and bottom sheets together the way that regular waterbed sheets, so making the bed is basically the same process. Place a Bid!
