This ballast can be used with either a 1000 watt Metal Halide or 1000 watt High Pressure Sodium bulb. The Lumatek Digital Ballast produces up to 30% more lumens than a standard magnetic ballast while drawing less electricity. This ballast is completely silent with no buzzing and produces less heat than a standard ballast. Because of Lumatek's soft start technology the bulbs can also last up to three times as long. Over time magnetic ballasts become louder, produce less light, emit more heat and use more electricity. Electronic ballasts maintain their efficiency throughout their life span. Lumatek ballasts are voltage specific and will only run at 120v. By being voltage specific, each ballast is tuned to run at peak performance. This means that Lumatek Digital Ballasts put out about 10% more light than other digital ballasts. This ballast has a standard socket cord plug which is compatible with C.A.P., High Yield & Sun Systems reflectors and socket sets. All Lumatek ballasts carry a 3 year replacement warranty + a 2 year pro-rated warranty. This kit includes the Hortilux 1000 watt Super HPS Bulb. The grow light also comes with the LumeWing Reflector which is a value priced Gull-Wing reflector. This reflector is great for the new grower, or anyone that does not anticipate the need for air-cooling in the future. The reflective surface is made from AlumaBrite, a highly reflective imported aluminum. The socket assembly and 15' lamp cord are built into the reflector. It comes complete with wire hangers. It will accommodate all bulb sizes except BT-56. It measures 19" x 13" x 6". It is very light and easy to hang. Comes with a 5 year warranty.
