Description
Up for Bid I have a Pair of exquisite Lamps from Italy. I received the lamps after my nana passed away.  They are both matching lamps, with Beautiful details.  Both lamps & shades are the Original.  The lamp shades are velvet, with black and gold trim. The hanging style lighting has three different light settings. Each light has hanging crystal prisms (like seen in pictures). The lamp(s) base is made of Marble & brass. The base of the lamp(s) is almost shaped like flowers, and each stem with pedals is the light. They are Very interesting, and Unique.  These Lamps are One Of A Kind!  They both have a sticker that says "Genuine Carrera".  They are Very Rare, and Beautiful for their age!   A few of the prisms are missing, but they can be replaced  and would be inexpensive. The Condition of both lamps are GREAT for the age! The light bulbs will have to be replaced soon(again inexpensive) The only other flaw is there is small green marking on both lamps at the very bottom where it rests on table. I think it's from all the years, and It could probably go away with a good Cleaning! The last picture shows one of the lamps in my bedroom. I have one on each side of my bed, and as you can see it looks Beautiful! It can go with any style in your home.  Serious Bidders Only Please~and if you would like more pictures, please let me know.  The money I receive for selling these lamps will pay for my wedding. It may sound silly, but I have always wanted to have a nice wedding. Selling these Precious lamps will be the only way that I can have a wedding.  These lamps are very dear to my heart, and whoever gets them will see how Beautiful they are! They will "Light" up your life!   shade height=19" shade width=19" lamp height=34"   Below is some information I found about the lamps History!    The elegant lamps were manufactured in the 1940's . The metal portions are brass plated base metal, usually a metal alloy, and the stone bases is a  Genuine Carrera Marble from Italy. Many of this style of lamp were made in Italy for export to the U.S.A. Interestingly enough this style of lamp was most popular with families of Italian origin in the 1940's, possibly because of the tie to Italy through the gorgeous Carrera which is one of the finest marbles used in decorative items. Carrera is beautifully bright and the amount of matrix ( veining ) in this natural stone is impressive and works well for artistic purposes.  Most of the shades on this style of lamp which is referred to as Italianate " or sometimes Rococco were generally velvet with gold brocade .    Shipping Info. Pick up OR   Shipping on these lamps would have to be done in three separate boxes. One box for each lamp, and a box for both shades.   Contact me with Any Questions
